Penn State Beaver students participate in RAD training
In March, nine female students at Penn State Beaver participated in 12 hours of RAD System training offered by Anthony Budris, Beaver’s police services supervisor. RAD is the Rape Aggression Defense System that teaches women realistic self-defense tactics and techniques.
The RAD System is a comprehensive course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and risk avoidance while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. RAD is not a Martial Arts program but consists of courses taught by certified RAD Instructors. In addition, each student receives a workbook/reference manual which outlines the entire physical defense program for reference and continuous personal growth. The program offers a free lifetime return and practice policy for RAD graduates.
