USCAA names Kirschner as Athletic Director of the Year
Andy Kirschner, athletic director at Penn State Beaver, was named Athletic Director of the Year at the recent United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Convention in Norfolk, Virginia. Kirschner was selected from the athletic directors of the 75 colleges that comprise the USCAA. The announcement was made by John Fritz, commissioner of the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC).
“His efforts and positive thinking have elevated the level of our entire conference,” said Fritz. He also noted that Kirschner has been appointed to the USCAA Board of Directors as a result of his numerous contributions and the enhanced opportunities he offers student-athletes.
“In addition to his achievements as the Beaver campus athletic director, he serves on a variety of committees, directs some of the most successful athletic championships, developed and maintains the PSUAC and Beaver campus athletic websites, and is coach of one of the consistently top softball teams,” Fritz said. “Andy is a credit to Penn State Beaver as well as the PSUAC, and we thank him for making us Penn State proud.”
