Basketball team members receive post-season PSUAC honors
The Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) announced post-season honors for the men’s 2010-11 basketball season. Two players were recognized along with Head Coach Marcess Williams.
Senior David McGarry (Poland Seminary/Poland, OH) earned PSUAC First Team All-Conference honors. Team captain and senior Billy Stoughton (Slippery Rock High School/Slippery Rock, PA) earned PSUAC Honorable Mention All-Conference honors.
Williams was named PSUAC Coach of the Year for the third consecutive year. Williams was an impressive 20-11 as he led the team to its third consecutive PSUAC Division title, third consecutive PSUAC regular season title, and third consecutive PSUAC Championship.
Williams also led the Nittany Lions to a third place finish in the USCAA National Tournament. He owns a 93-78 career record after completing his sixth season at the helm for Penn State Beaver. This year marked the men’s third consecutive 20-win season.
