Daffodil Days project raises more than $500 for cancer research
Penn State Beaver students, staff, and faculty raised more than $500 through the Daffodil Days campaign in March. The funds will directly benefit the American Cancer Society’s ongoing research efforts. The annual campus project is organized by the Varsity Club, the Athletic Department, and the Health Services Center.
Participants were able to choose from a selection of daffodils and related gifts set at different price levels. In addition, yellow plastic bracelets to show support for cancer research were, and are still available, for $1 by contacting Barbara McDanel, campus nurse in the Health Center, or Denise Turyan, staff assistant for the Office of Student Affairs.
