Campus seeks nominations for Outstanding Alumni Award
Penn State Beaver is seeking nominations for its newly established Outstanding Alumni Award, which will recognize campus alumni who have distinguished themselves through career achievement, community involvement, and/or involvement with Beaver campus. The award will be presented in January 2011 at a dinner meeting of the Penn State Beaver Advisory Board and the Penn State Beaver Alumni Society Board of Directors.
Eligibility is limited to individuals who have attended Penn State Beaver. Consideration will be given to alumni on the basis of their professional achievement, contributions to society, and/or involvement with the campus. Nominations are welcome from Penn State alumni, the Penn State Beaver Alumni Society Board of Directors, the Penn State Beaver Advisory Board, campus faculty and staff and friends and constituents of Beaver campus.
The award’s selecting body is comprised of the campus director of development, two members of the Alumni Society Board of Directors, and two members of the campus Advisory Board.
The award will be a medal and/or accompanying plaque as determined by the campus administration. Selection of the award recipient(s) will be made in the fall. The selected recipient must be available to attend the award ceremonial dinner and will be invited to serve as keynote speaker at the fall or spring campus commencement.
