Professor to lecture on life of mathematics 'genius'
From noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, March 19, there will be a free public lecture about the life of Indian mathematics genius Srinivasa Ramanujan in room 115-B of the General Classroom Building at Penn State Beaver. "Ramanujan, a Modest Talk About a Great Mathematician," will be presented by Javier Gomez-Calderon, professor of mathematics at Penn State New Kensington. The program will explore Ramanujan's life and his historic contributions in the field of mathematics. Gomez-Calderon said that his presentation is easily accessible to the general public and of interest to those with or without a mathematics background.
