Rizzo will speak about multi-generational communication
Chris Rizzo, director of student affairs at Penn State Beaver, will give a presentation entitled ‘Closing the Generation Gap’ at noon and 1 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 3 at ADP’s Lunch and Learn Series for company employees.
ADP, located in Finley Township, provides payroll services and other tools for human resources departments at various companies.
Rizzo’s remarks will focus on understanding how co-workers, supervisors, friends, and family members function in different ways. Some research suggests that Baby Boomers, Generation X and Millennials demonstrate specific styles based on contemporary experiences. Knowing more about some of these generational differences and opportunities may help all ages to live and work together more effectively.
Rizzo has worked in higher education for nearly twenty years. Prior to coming to Beaver, he was dean of student life and development at Colorado State University, Pueblo. Before working in Colorado, Rizzo spent thirteen years at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College as director of student activities and the Reed Union Building and as coordinator of residence life. He also served as coordinator of residence and Greek life at the University of Virginia's College at Wise.
