Free concerts are open to public at Brodhead Cultural Center

6/26/2009 —
The Penn State Beaver Brodhead Cultural Center continues its 33rd summer season of programming with two free concerts. The Renaissance Rhythm Chorus, Sweet Adelines will perform at 7:30 p.m., Monday, July 29 in the Center’s J.P. Giusti Amphitheater. The Beaver Bop Cats will appear in concert at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 1 at the amphitheater.

The Center’s concession stand, which features cold and hot refreshments, will be open at the Center before and during the shows. On July 1, a special sale of Penn State Berkey Creamery ice cream will take place at the amphitheater from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Both the concession stand and ice cream sales are operated by the Beaver Valley Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association. All sale proceeds benefit the Chapter’s scholarships for Beaver campus students.

The Baker-Dungan Museum of local history will be open from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. before each concert. The museum, which is operated by the Mill Creek Valley Historical Association, features a variety of historical artifacts from the region’s past, including furniture, artwork, clothing, farm implements, and tools.
