Open auditions to be held for summer musical
Men and women age 18 and older are invited to audition for the Center Theatre Players' production of the classic comedy, "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." The play will be presented as part of the Penn State Beaver Brodhead Cultural Center's 33rd season of summer programming.
Auditions will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, April 19 in the auditorium of the Beaver campus Student Union Building.
Many character roles are available for men. Those auditioning are required to prepare and perform one Broadway-style song. Taped accompaniment is acceptable, and a piano accompanist also will be available. Sandy Reigel, director of the Center Theatre Players, will conduct the auditions.
"How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 24 and 25 and Friday and Saturday, July 31 and August 1 in the Beaver campus auditorium. The show follows the trials, triumphs, and romances of Finch, a brash, self-confident but endearing window-cleaner, who is determined to do what it takes to rise to the top of the business world.
