Lions Finish Florida Games with a Win

The Penn State Beaver Nittany Lions baseball team brought their spring break week in Fort Pierce, Florida to a close with a win over Northwestern College, 4-3, and a 4-2 record.

Sophomore Greg Frederick (Quaker Valley High School) pitched four strong innings before giving way to freshman Jake Gram (Louisville, OH) who pitched three, gave up two hits, fanned one, and walked no one. He gave up one earned run and earned his first collegiate victory. Sophomore Justin Parasida (Ambridge High School) pitched the eighth and ninth innings for the save.

Offensively, Beaver was led by senior Pat Ringel (Sto-Rox High School) and sophomore Pat Raraigh (Riverside High School) with two hits each. Senior Jeff Trojan (Rochester High School) recorded two RBIs.
