Beaver Lady Lions Drop Dubois, 64-43

The Penn State Beaver Lady Lions basketball team traveled Saturday, Feb. 16, to Penn State DuBois where it won the PSUAC match-up, 64-43.

In the win, Beaver was led by freshman forward Tasia McCargo (Beaver Falls/ Beaver Falls High School) who had a career high of 20 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore Alonna Verrico (Rochester/Rochester High School) added 10 points while freshman point guard Jasmine Green (Trenton, N.J./Orange High School) had 14 points and six assists.

The Beaver women are now 17-6 overall and 12-3 in the PSUAC. They’ll host Penn State Greater Allegheny for the last game of the regular season at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, as they battle for first place in the West Division. Both teams have already qualified for the PSUAC tournament to begin the first week in March. Beaver also received a bid this past week to the USCAA National Tournament that will be held in Feb. 25 to 29 in Broken Arrow, Okla.
