Southern Virginia Defeats Lady Lions 87-72

The Penn State Beaver Lady Lions, ranked first in the USCAA, hosted second-ranked Southern Virginia Tuesday night. Trailing most of the game, the Lady Lions briefly closed the margin to nine points late in the second half before losing 87-72. The game was the Lady Lions' first of the spring semester. Penn State Beaver's Heather Sandusky led all scorers with 29 points and had 10 rebounds for the first double-double in program history. The Lady Lions are now 7-4.
