MSHA 8-Hour Annual Training for Experienced Underground Miners
This training gives experienced miners the knowledge they need to face the safety and health hazards involved in underground mining under 30 CFR Part 46 or Part 48. Participants will learn their rights and responsibilities, job-related safety procedures, rescue, and first aid techniques. Students will receive their MSHA 5000-23 form upon completion. Please pre-register for this course.
Requirements for MSHA Hazard Awareness course:
Due to the diversity of our students, task and hazard awareness training will not be included in the training session. The hazard awareness training must be conducted at the mine site according to the mine operator's training plan.
This course is also available on site. Please contact the Penn State Beaver Office of Continuing Education 724-773-3700 to discuss your scheduling needs and group rate.
