"If happiness is activity in accordance with excellence, it is reasonable that it should be in accordance with the highest excellence."

The Honors Program at Penn State Beaver enhances the academic experience for those students with the ability and desire to excel intellectually and personally by cultivating the habit of excellence.
The Honors Program provides students with an opportunity to work closely with professors and pursue academic topics in greater depth than is typically available solely through traditional coursework. Frequently, students are able to tailor curricular requirements to suit their educational objectives.
In addition, Honors students enjoy special academic privileges, including early registration and a more liberal library borrowing policy. Through membership in the Honors Club, students have further access to learning opportunities in the classroom and beyond coursework. The Honors Program can also serve as a gateway to the Schreyer Honors College for those students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance.
