Month(s) of the Year

Late October

After you accept your offer from Penn State and pay your acceptance fee, you will receive instructions, via postcard or email, about how to complete your Educational Planning Survey (EPS) and online placement tests.

Watch for this communication. It contains very important information about your personalized New Student Orientation (NSO) timeline!

Complete your EPS and placement tests.

Educational Planning Survey
This survey will help us help you when you visit campus on your advising day.

Placement Test
You will take a mathematics placement test. This test result will help you and your adviser choose  the appropriate course for your first semester.

November through

Once you have completed your placement testing, you will be contacted by our Academic Records Office to schedule an advising appointment. This process continues on a rolling basis as results of the EPS and placement tests are received.
